Affects current LAMMPS develop branch, starting with Kokkos v5.2 For Cmake versions that auto-enable response files (>=3.29), object files that need to be linked are written in a response file: "build/CMakeFiles/lammps.dir/objects1.rsp" with quoted paths. During the host link step, bash splits each path on whitespace, but keeps their quotation characters. Because each object starts with a quote, it doesn't matches any of the wrapper's patterns, so it falls into the catch-all branch (line 510) and gets appended to -Xcompiler, causing g++ to fail.
